Tales of a Wandering Samurai is a collection of reflections on the adventures of this old man. The reference to a Samurai is based less on history and more on the stylistic archetypal Samurai of modern pop culture and literature; i.e. comic books (Wolverine), movies (The Last Samurai, Star Wars, Ronin), video games (Shogun: Total War) with influences seen even among some of the hip hop/rap music characters popular today.
